Phil Mooney is a Certified Immigration Consultant, and a member of the Canadian Society of Immigration
Consultants. He participated in the development of the Professional Skills Exam for Consultants as a Subject
Matter Expert.
As past President of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC) - the largest group
of Consultants which is dedicated to educating Immigration Consultants and lobbying Citizenship & Immigration
Canada (CIC) on issues of concerns to both immigrants and consultants. Mr. Mooney
is a frequent presenter at Industry seminars, and speaks regularly to graduating students of Immigration
Practitioner programs, as well as presenting briefs before parliamentary committees on issues of concern.

Hugh is a graduate of the University of Toronto Law School.
As a writer and editor, he has thirty years experience in public and corporate policy,
journalism and creative writing. He has worked and lived in the United States,
the United Kingdom and Greece, and has traveled extensively throughout Europe,
Asia and South America.
Hugh brings to Can-Am and the role of immigration counsel a fine appreciation of
the critical importance of written and oral communication in representing the best
interests of our clients. His proven skill in the use of the English language
offers our clients a distinct advantage across all aspects of Can-Am's legal
services, and particularly in family class sponsorships, humanitarian & compassionate applications,
inadmissibility solutions, refugee claims, pre-removal risk assessments, and hearings and appeals advocacy.

Nir is a full member of the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants (CSIC); he is also a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC), and a Fellow of the Canadian Migration Institute.
Nir is the director of operations for Can-Am Immigration, an immigration consulting firm providing clients with services across all aspects of Canadian & US immigration law. Nir is also the co-founder of Aptus Group Inc. and NannyNanny.ca, Canada’s leading caregiver search engine, providing national service with access to both local and foreign sources of qualified, experienced and immediately available domestic workers.
Nir completed a Bachelors degree in Public Policy and Management at York University in Toronto. He completed the Immigration Law program at York College of Industry and Technology in 2007.
